Peter Hodges Precision Shootout - Round 1

It was supposed to be a draw. Perfect draw. I kind of feel bad for rejecting a draw proposal. Opponent was very tired, made a blunder at the very very end.

Nikolay Arutyonov Swiss - Round 5

I allowed illegal move (the opponent did not move out of check). Move 61 ---- ILLEGAL.
Lost the game.

Nikolay Arutyonov Swiss - Round 4

Played with Tygan Zeng. I played with him before but a long time ago. I was rated maybe 1200ss back then and he was 1000ss. He has grown a lot since then.

The game progressed boringly. I had advantage at first, then Tygan clearly dominated the game into the endgame when we both had pawns and rooks. Tygan had more pawns but some were doubled. He made very good moves as it seemed to me and honestly I was ready to just give it up. He offered a draw somewhere, I think around move 55-56 but I declined. Then, he basically had a win but made a slight miscalculation and then resigned shortly after. Overall, it was a very long game and I was a bit surprised I even won. Tygan is becoming such a strong player. Another year and I wouldn't be able to stand a chance.
